GOLDEN VISA
The Golden Visa is a residence permit that allows non-European Union (EU) citizens to live and work in Spain in exchange for investing in the country. To be eligible for a Golden Visa, individuals must make a qualifying investment, such as purchasing property worth at least 500,000 euros or starting a business that creates at least 10 jobs in Spain.
Holders of a Golden Visa are allowed to live, work, and study in Spain for a period of one year, after which they can apply for a renewal. After five years of continuous residence in Spain, holders of a Golden Visa may be eligible to apply for permanent residence.
Obtaining a Golden Visa can be a useful way for non-EU citizens to gain access to the Schengen Area, which consists of 26 European countries that have abolished passport and other types of border control at their mutual borders. Holders of a Golden Visa are also able to travel freely within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
It is important to note that the requirements for obtaining a Golden Visa can vary depending on the specific investment being made and the country of origin of the applicant. It is a good idea to consult with a lawyer or other legal professional to ensure that you are aware of all of the requirements and that you have all of the necessary documentation in order.
